Joinery Drafter
Are you an experienced Drafter looking for a new opportunity – or a Cabinet Maker looking to get off the tools? We’re taking applications for Joinery Drafters to join our team on the Sunshine Coast. You’ll be working closely with our Project Management Team and Tradespeople developing unique shop drawings for commercial fit-outs around Australia. This is a factory-based role that may include some travel. We offer genuine job satisfaction, competitive remuneration and flexible working conditions. Responsibilities
- Work closely with Project Management team, coordinate projects from design to production
- Set out and draw joinery projects, interpret architectural drawings and site specifications
- Interpret technical drawings, plans and schedules
- Manage and track project reviews or changes and relay information
- Liaising with clients, project managers and factory staff
- Produce cutting list, complete take-offs; order project materials and hardware
- Conduct site measures and perform inspections to clarify specifications
- Ensure industry and Code compliance, adhering to company policies and procedures
Skills and Experience
- Cabinetry and manufacturing experience highly regarded
- Industry knowledge; materials, hardware, finishes, allowances, processes
- Read and interpret drawings and schedules and develop shop drawings accordingly
- Mathematical aptitude, and strong organisational and time management skills
- Use Set Out Software and CNC machinery programming applications
- Computer literacy: EzyNest/Enroute 6 experience required, AutoCad, Pytha (V24) or Microvellum experience preferred – advanced users of Mozaik considered
- Construction White Card, and a clean Driver’s licence (last five years)
- Commitment to WHS, safe work practices and zero-harm environments
- Ability to work as a team and maintain focus while working autonomously
